We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment and enjoys balancing exam room care, client communication, hands-on procedural support, and team leadership. In this role, you will partner closely with our existing VA Supervisor to support daily workflow, team scheduling, training and mentorship, and efficient hospital operations. In this position, you will play a key role in: Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Providing hands-on clinical support across a varied general practice caseload Training and mentoring veterinary support team members Supporting team scheduling and monitoring daily hospital flow Assisting with inventory management Helping address client concerns and resolve disputes professionally Maintaining a high standard of patient care, client service, and teamwork Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $29 - $31 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability required for a rotating Sunday morning shift. Full-time Benefits Package : Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Nevada CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k with company match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Minimum qualifications and skill set: 5+ years of veterinary technician experience Previous leadership, supervisor, or management experience Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Nevada Proficiency in the following skills: Anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient assessment, nursing care, and recovery Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography IV catheter placement, cystocentesis, and IV/IM injections Microscope evaluation, laboratory testing, and radiology Surgical assistance, aseptic technique, and safe patient handling Medication administration, drug calculations, and accurate medical records Client communication, team collaboration, and ability to prioritize and multitask Training and mentoring team members with strong communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail   About South Shores Animal Hospital: South Shores Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited, 7-doctor, full-service small animal hospital located in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, Nevada. We offer medical care, boarding, and grooming for small animals as well as exotics, and have rehabilitation and reproduction services available.
