Job Overview TennCare compensation is equitable and will be based on education and experience for a qualified candidate in accordance with Department of Human Resources (DOHR) policy The Division of TennCare is dedicated to providing our employees with a hybrid work environment All TennCare positions have a combination of work from home and work in the office, which varies by position, department, and business need You may review the specific expectations with our hiring team The Division of TennCare is seeking a Vendor Operations Data Analyst to join the Vendor Operations Group within Member Services. Under the direction of the Contact Center Analyst, this role will leverage TennCare's Eligibility Determination System (TEDS) and Contact Center systems to extract, validate, analyze, and visualize data using SQL, R+, and Python in development of Tableau reporting identifying and interpreting trends including call drivers, dispositions, contractual service level agreements, key performance indicators, and impacts of system/process enhancements for VOG units and leadership, vendors, and Member Services leadership to support operational improvements. Key Responsibilities Attend in-person meetings related to contract start-up and reporting 1 to 3 days a week. Conduct advanced data queries, data cleaning, data aggregations, dashboard preparation and maintenance, running quality checking, and delivering routine reports and running and delivering ad hoc requests using statistical and data software analytical programs (SAS, SQL, Python, XLM, R+, and or Tableau). Perform descriptive, predictive, and inferential statistical analysis of variables that affect the contact center and provide thorough documentation of projects and processes. Comply with regulations and mandates for data privacy requirements and complete data request projects in a timely manner. Create and maintain query, logic, and data dictionaries. Identify and enhance Excel reporting through the creation and maintenance of Macros for routine reporting involving stepped data cleaning and mining performed manually that could be automated. Engage in regular contact with stakeholders such as Vendor Operations Group Leadership, Vendor Operations Group Quality Team, Vendor Operations Group Operations Team, and the Contact Center Vendor to provide expertise, guidance, and ongoing/ad hoc reporting needs. Maintain relations and communicate with internal and external key stakeholders to explain data reports and analyses. Primary communication centers around clarifying data values and parameters used for data analysis. Proactively identifies areas of risk and opportunities for enhancement within the OmniChannel and CRM platforms. Collaborate with Vendors on design and implementation of reporting requirements and enhancements. Analyze audit data to establish trends and determine root causes- Prepare reports to document trends and propose corrective actions. Interpret and identify applicable contract areas for compliance issues. Complete tasks and reviews within appropriate databases in a timely manner. Maintain knowledge of changing policies and processes within the organization and contact center. Participate in special projects as business needs dictate. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related discipline (i.e., statistics, applied statistics, mathematics, biostatistics, economics, epidemiology, computer science, social or behavioral sciences, health sciences, business, business administration, public administration, public policy, or other related field) OR 4 years of relevant professional work experience OR a combination of years of relevant college coursework and years of relevant professional work experience totaling four. Desirable Qualifications Experience with Medicaid, Managed Care, or other related health insurance organizations 3+ years' experience analyzing and trending high call volume contact center data; preferably related to health care or insurance call flows 3+ years' experience creating and maintaining operationally complex Tableau Dashboards 3+ years' experience mining, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets including numerical and text data 1+ years¿ experience creating, running, and analyzing reporting in PowerBI Experience leveraging DBeaver database management tool Experience building and leveraging API data connections between systems Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; including Macro creation and maintenance, Graphing, Pivot Tables, and Formulas (logical, mathematical, and statistical) Ability to foster and maintain cohesive working relationships Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Ability to exercise sound judgment Strong organizational skills necessary, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage workload to meet specific timeframes and deadlines Advanced writing and communication skills Pursuant to the State of Tennessee's Workplace Discrimination and Harassment policy, the State is firmly committed to the principle of fair and equal employment opportunities for its citizens and strives to protect the rights and opportunities of all people to seek, obtain, and hold employment without being subjected to illegal discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
