Role Overview As a Forward Deployed Manufacturing Engineer, you will work directly with manufacturing teams to translate real-world build processes into structured, scalable workflows within BuildOS. You will act as a digital manufacturing engineer, helping customers move from legacy processes to a model-based, software-driven system. You will be deeply embedded during pilots and early deployments, ensuring customers not only understand the product—but successfully adopt it. Responsibilities ● Translate customer assembly processes into BuildOS workflows● Create and structure work instructions from CAD and engineering data● Lead onboarding and drive adoption during pilots and early deployments● Act as a trusted advisor to manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams● Identify inefficiencies in customer workflows and propose improvements● Partner with product and engineering to surface high-impact feedback● Support demos, technical evaluations, and customer check-ins Qualifications ● Background in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering● Experience working in or closely with manufacturing environments● Strong intuition for how things are built in the real world● Ability to break down and structure complex assembly workflows● Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences● High ownership and comfort working directly with customers Technical Background ● Experience with CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.)● Familiarity with PLM / ERP systems and manufacturing workflows● Understanding of EBOM / MBOM concepts and production processes● Experience creating or managing work instructions   New York Pay Range$100,000—$140,000 USDEqual Opportunity Employer Dirac is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with Dirac is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
