Position Overview The Project Manager – Interior Design works under the direction of the Director of Interior Design and coordinates all aspects of assigned tenant improvement projects—both administrative and technical—from initial programming through construction administration. Specializing in office/workplace, retail, and hospitality environments, this role serves as the primary client liaison throughout the LGE interior architecture process, with an emphasis on achieving project success by delivering on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction across multiple concurrent projects in varying phases. Functions of Position As a Project Manager – Interior Design, your role will include: Lead interior architecture project delivery for tenant improvement projects across various project types from initial concept through construction administration. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, each potentially in a different phase (programming, design development, construction documents, permitting, or construction), while maintaining clear priorities and deadlines. Serve as the primary client-facing point of contact, building trust through responsive, proactive communication and confident, informed presentation of design and project information. Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating milestones with the Director of Interior Design and project team to ensure on-time delivery. Guide projects through the full interior architecture tenant improvement process, including due diligence, code and life-safety review, landlord/building coordination, and permitting requirements specific to TI work. Review and coordinate construction documents for conformance with codes, constructability, and LGE quality standards. Coordinate with outside landlords, property managers, vendors, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) to keep projects moving efficiently. Collaborate closely with the Architectural Division and Design-Build operations teams to align design intent with construction execution. Mentor and provide direction to Job Captains and project team members assigned to tenant improvement projects. Provide oversight of project scope, budget, and additional service requests, flagging risks and opportunities early. Promote proactive problem-solving and swift resolution of project-level challenges and client requests. Uphold LGE's quality control procedures and architectural process playbooks throughout all phases of work. Foster positive, long-term relationships with clients, landlords, and consultants through consistent, dependable follow-through. Desired Attributes 5-10 years of experience in interior architecture and design, with a focus on tenant improvement projects. NCIDQ Certificate holder or Licensed Architect required. Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture. Specialized experience in office/workplace, retail, and/or hospitality interior design. Thorough understanding of the interior architecture process for tenant improvements, including landlord requirements, base building coordination, and TI-specific code and permitting considerations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, each at a different phase, without losing sight of details or deadlines. Highly responsive; reliably meets client, consultant, and internal communication turnaround expectations. Confident and comfortable presenting to and interacting directly with clients, with a thorough understanding of client management. Positive attitude and genuine willingness to collaborate with both the architecture and construction teams. Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, ADA, life safety, and energy standards as they relate to interior tenant improvement work. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. High-level proficiency in: Revit Bluebeam Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Project Reporting The Project Manager – Interior Design reports directly to the Director of Interior Design and coordinates weekly team meetings and project status updates. Evaluation Annual performance reviews will be conducted by the Director of Interior Design with feedback from peers and company staff. Evaluation criteria will include: Successful delivery of projects on time, on budget, and with quality standards met. Responsiveness and effectiveness of client, landlord, and consultant communication. Effectiveness in managing multiple concurrent projects across varying phases.
