1st Shift Machine Operator

COMPENSATION: The hiring range for this position is $19-$21/hour. This range is an estimate and the actual hourly rate may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The Machine Operator will operate production machine tools following specified procedures for quality products. The Machine Operator will monitor machine operations, make quality visual checks and complete production paperwork and ERP entries. Essential Responsibilities Read job specifications/travelers/log tickets to determine material requirements. Check coil stock at machine to verify correct material requirements. Ensure correct position of material in take-up rolls, adjust, and secure work product. Monitor multiple machines (high speed stamping press) that expand copper or aluminum metal. Detect defects or machine malfunction and report defects and malfunctions to supervisor immediately. Inspect product for visual defects such as broken strands and measure at key points using precision measuring instruments (i.e. precision magnifying loupe) to determine accuracy of machine operation during product cycle. Log in and out of jobs, accurately enter log information in ERP system. Perform minor machine maintenance, such as adding oil to machine reservoir. Remove finished rolls and move to designated area with completed paperwork. Wear common protective or safety equipment such as gloves, safety goggles, etc. Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work area.
