Providing essential, compassionate observation for patients, including those under Baker Act and Marchman Act, which may involve sitting for long periods to ensure their safety. Conducting thorough investigations and meticulously documenting all security-related incidents and hazards. Performing regular patrols and serving as a knowledgeable, helpful point of contact for staff and visitors. Maintaining expert knowledge of emergency protocols and assisting with staff training and drills. What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Class D (Unarmed Security License) and Class G License (Armed Security License) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer date required. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Law Enforcement preferred. Security Professional preferred. Education High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
