# Experienced Tax Accountant

We’re hiring. The dog needs more coworkers. Feeney Pinkerton is a public accounting firm in East Providence. Big enough to have someone who’s seen that weird accounting problem before; small enough to know exactly who you should ask. There are 12 of us, plus an office dog who contributes very little technically but remains wildly popular with management. We’d love to find someone with 5–10 years of tax accounting experience. But that’s not a rule. If you have 3 years and you’re fantastic, talk to us. If you have 15 years and still like accounting, definitely talk to us. If you’re not technically an accountant but possess some extraordinary and useful skill that makes you think, “These people clearly need me,” we’re willing to hear the argument. Mostly, we’re looking for smart, curious people who can listen, learn, solve problems, use good judgment, and be nice to the humans around them. We like technology. A lot. We also think sometimes the appropriate accounting solution is to use your brain. We’re aiming for a healthy relationship between the two. And we’re growing. We’re looking for people who find that exciting rather than deeply upsetting. We work hard. We also go home. We think both are important. There are snacks. There’s a dog. People laugh here. Nobody gets a medal for sending an email at 11:47 p.m. We have all the standard corporate values — excellence, fun, collaboration, growth, community, etc – but mostly we are just trying to be good humans. So, if you love accounting but hate your accounting job, come see if you like ours. If you’re experienced, we’d love to meet you. If you’re less experienced but unusually good, make your case. If you’re brilliant at something we didn’t realize we needed, this could get interesting. And if your current job is slowly crushing your soul but you’ve been telling yourself, “It’s accounting.
