SECURITY SPECIALIST

Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. You will develop and evaluate antiterrorism and force protection policies, plans, and operational requirements. You will assess threats and recommend changes to force protection conditions and risk mitigation measures. You will coordinate force protection activities with military commands, federal agencies, and security partners. You will review force protection plans for deployed personnel, units, and exercises to ensure compliance. You will coordinate antiterrorism training and serve as a joint operations center watch officer. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Developing and evaluating antiterrorism and force protection policies, operational requirements, and procedures to protect personnel, assets, and facilities. 2. Assessing threats and force protection conditions to recommend risk mitigation measures supporting contingency operations and mission assurance. 3. Coordinating antiterrorism and force protection activities with military commands and interagency partners to align security programs with established policies and guidance. 4. Reviewing individual, deployed unit, and exercise force protection plans for accuracy, operational effectiveness, and compliance with established requirements. 5. Planning and coordinating antiterrorism training and joint operations center watch activities to support routine operations and crisis response.
