# Systems Engineer (Top Secret/SCI with agreement to obtain CI Poly Clearance Required)

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Systems Engineer with Linux system administration experience to support cloud and on-premise systems within a mission operations environment. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph post-hire. The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience with installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of mission-critical systems in both cloud and on-premise environments, contributing to the operation and sustainment of a geospatial intelligence solution supporting government end users.Responsibilities:The Systems Engineer will take a leadership role in system changes and improvements, working directly with government and contractor points of contact to troubleshoot issues and proactively recommend configuration changes to improve system performance. The role involves regularly collaborating with stakeholders to maintain system security compliance, authoring and updating operational and security documentation including troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures, and supporting day-to-day sustainment of mission-critical infrastructure.Required Skills/Experience:Linux system administration, including provisioning end usersManaging and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environmentsBuilding, optimizing, and maintaining multi-node environments that run parallel workloadsLinux cluster administration using Slurm and MPI to support High-Performance Computing (HPC) systemsReviewing STIG/IAVA scan results and remediating identified vulnerabilitiesPerforming Virtual Machine backups and snapshotsSupporting Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP) exercises in coordination with Security teamsScripting for administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and automationKnowledge of systems architecture, software development, and software sustainment practicesPreferred Skills/Experience:Red Hat certification(s)Linux certification(s)Agile certification(s)Administration of team collaboration tools such as Jira and ConfluenceExperience with NGA networking environmentsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent additional experienceActive TS/SCI clearance required; must be willing to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph post-hireDoD 8570 compliant certification (Security+ or equivalent/higher)North Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country’s most crucial missions!  We focus on long term projects, leveraging the latest technology in support of innovative solutions to solve our customer’s most difficult problems.
