NATURAL RESOURCES SPECIALIST

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will be the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Program Manager for Marine Corps Base Quantico. You will monitor and coordinate, through the NEPA review process, with other professional personnel engaged in environmental compliance programs to ensure all obligations are included in the construction, operation and maintenance of MCBQ facilities. You will interpret policies, plans, and programs and evaluate performance data against broadly established objectives, goals, and standards. You will identify pollution abatement requirements to be included in military construction programs or in projects to be supported with funds from operations and maintenance, Marine Corps, or other appropriations. You will represent MCBQ and actively participates in consultations, meetings, conferences, and committees involving policy and other matters pertinent to environmental compliance and remediation. You will serve as Project Manager providing professional and technical administration of A/E Contracts for environmental work. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: advises on environmental laws, regulations, and standards; applies environmental principles and best practices to achieve environmental compliance; researches, analyzes, and interprets federal and state environmental requirements; coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on environmental matters.
