# Assistant General Manager

United States Army Installation Management Command

This position is for Assistant General Manager of a 584 room, full service resort. We offer amazing benefits including Retirement, 401k, Health Insurance, and Life Insurance.
Works as the AFRC Assistant General Manager providing direction and oversight for multiple operational and support areas including: Guest programs and services, Recreation, Food and Beverage, Rooms, Sales & Marketing, Facility Management, Information Technology, Security & Safety, Human Resources, Contracting and Financial Management. Oversees subordinate programs ensuring that AFRC Departments are complying with governing laws, and regulations. Will act as General Manager as necessary. Ensures leadership objectives, yield management, process analysis, internal controls, employee relations, labor relations, productivity, and facility management, maximizing usage of rooms, facilities, customer service/service quality measurements, programs and services to ensure fiscal budget and objectives are met or exceeded by managing subordinate departments within the hotel. Assists in the formulation and execution of directives, policies and procedures and other guidance for department and program managers. Manages and oversees the development of the annual operating budget to include occupancy projections, room rates, marketing plans and CPMC projects. Manages all aspects to meet property and enterprise business objectives. Develops capital purchase/improvement projects throughout the organization. Manages the direction, processes and functional requirements involved in the coordination and accomplishment of plans, scope, design, construction, budget, and direction of construction projects. Establishes schedules and milestones, reviews progress, measures performance, initiates corrective action to schedule and cost requirements. Assures early identification of problems and facilitates resolution. Demonstrates leadership by example, motivates and provides a work environment in which staff and supervisors are productive, providing them with constructive coaching and counseling. Actively supports the development, training and mentoring of staff. Has effective public speaking, presentation and communication skills. Manages group or interpersonal conflict situations effectively. Understands how to lead in a culturally diverse work environment. Establishes, measures, monitors and evaluates processes, policies and procedures. Applies Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) to all aspects of personnel management. QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. All qualification requirements must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level. A minimum of six years managerial experience in a full service hotel/resort environment. Qualifying years of experience may include Region/HQ level experience in hospitality, business or resort management. OR Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Business and four years of managerial experience in a full service hotel/resort environment. In addition to the above, candidates must possess experience at the senior management level with subordinate personnel in a medium to large hospitality business or major hospitality operation including Recreation, Food and Beverage, Rooms, Sales & Marketing, Facility Management, Information Technology, Security & Safety, Human Resources, Contracting or Financial Management which demonstrates strong organization skills; effective communications skills; successful management of multiple concurrent actions; and effective presentation of ideas and proposals to supervisory personnel. Demonstrated experience performing a wide range of supervisory duties including professional development of subordinate staff and disciplinary actions. Experience in development and management of hospitality operations to include analyzing hotel trends, operating efficiencies, cost avoidance, revenue generating opportunities and profitability. Experience in managing and providing high standards of customer service with an emphasis on meeting guest expectations. Experience in strategic planning; developing and implementing fiscal budgets.
