About the Position: Serves within the Quality Management Department at U.S. Naval Hospital Naples, Italy, supporting the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) Deputy Director through the Quality Manager and designated staff. As a Health Systems Specialist, the MSSP acts as technical advisor to the Privileging Authority, Credentials Committee/Function Chairperson, and assigned providers on all matters related to the Credentialing and Privileging (CP) Program. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Manages the Credentialing and Privileging (CP) Program for U.S. Naval Hospital Naples, Italy, its branch clinic, and associated programs Initiates and processes medical staff appointments and clinical privileges by verifying credentials and conducting comprehensive risk assessments Serves as the Joint Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (JCCQAS) database administrator by authorizing user access, educating users, and training staff on new CP procedures, processes, and policies Responds to internal and external requests for verification of clinical privileges and scope of practice for current and former affiliated providers. Coordinates reporting and committee support functions by assembling, consolidating, and distributing the monthly Credential Provider report Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service in acting as technical advisor to the Privileging Authority, Credentials Committee/Function Chairperson, and assigned providers on matters related to the Credentialing and Privileging (CP) Program. OR Substitution of education master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
