Outside Sales Representative – Foodservice Location: Wheeling, WV, USA Job Type: Full-time Industry: Foodservice Distribution Role Overview An opportunity is available for a motivated Outside Sales Representative to grow sales within an assigned territory by developing new accounts, strengthening existing customer relationships and recommending foodservice products that meet customer needs. The role focuses on profitable growth, customer retention and delivering practical product expertise. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts. Qualify prospects and prioritise accounts in line with territory sales objectives. Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing and product innovations. Share relevant market insights and product recommendations with customers. Respond to customer enquiries about products, pricing, availability and usage. Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel. Build strong customer relationships to support retention, satisfaction and sales growth. Travel to customer locations, conventions and company meetings as required. Work towards established sales, profitability and account growth targets. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. At least six months of sales experience or experience in chef, restaurant or hospitality management. A bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, hospitality or culinary arts is preferred. Previous outside foodservice sales experience is advantageous. Valid driver's licence and a driving record that meets insurance requirements. Current automobile insurance meeting the required liability limits. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook. Strong English communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends and holidays. Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
