# Lab Assistant-Specimen Collect (Phlebotomist)

Perform specimen collection for at least 25% of your scheduled hours—become the go-to expert patients trust and colleagues rely on. Keep specimens moving smoothly. Process and transport laboratory specimens and materials according to established procedures, ensuring nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Be a testing superstar. Conduct point of care testing and enter orders with accuracy and confidence—your precision directly impacts patient outcomes! Connect with everyone. Interact with patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers in a professional and courteous manner, bringing warmth and expertise to every interaction. Handle it all with care. Ensure safety and proficiency when working with specimens from patients of all ages—because every patient deserves your best work. Required Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience Henry Ford Health partners with millions of people on their health journey, across Michigan and around the world.
