Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the accounting team at Lensing Building Specialties. This role blends traditional accounting responsibilities with process improvement, data analytics, and reporting automation. You will manage account reconciliations, support ERP systems operations, and help drive accounting automation and reporting improvements, working closely with the Controller and accounting team to keep our financial operations running smoothly and accurately. What You'll Do Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly and daily Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Analyze workflows and partner cross-departmentally to design and implement process improvements Build reports and use data research, mining, and AI tools to drive analytics and process automation Provide ERP system training and support to other users Ensure accurate customer and vendor records Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Collaborate with the team on GAAP compliance and accounting standards Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and high integrity Comfort using AI tools for reporting and process work Preferred Experience CPA or progress toward CPA Experience with DMSI Agility or similar ERP systems Distribution, wholesale, or building products experience Even if you don’t meet all qualifications, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and are willing to be trained.
