JTS Associates CPAs, P.C., a full-service public accounting firm with offices in Nassau & Suffolk Counties, seeks a motivated, hands-on professional with 1-2 years of recent public accounting experience to support tax and accounting engagements for a diverse client base. Our clients include privately held businesses ranging from closely held entities to larger multi-state, national, and international companies, as well as high-net-worth individuals, not-for-profit organizations, estates and trusts. Responsibilities: Tax Services – Prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns and assist with tax research, planning, and consulting. Accounting Services – Assist with engagements throughout all phases of accounting, including bank and general ledger reconciliations, month- and year-end accounting, payroll processing, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns and bookkeeping. Client Services – Build and maintain strong client relationships while managing multiple engagements and collaborating with clients and staff. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting 1-2 years of recent public accounting tax experience including preparation of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns and exposure tax research and planning Experience with bookkeeping, payroll processing, payroll tax returns, and sales tax returns CPA licensure, CPA eligibility, or progress toward meeting the CPA requirements is a plus, but not required Strong communication, organizational, analytical and client service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and other accounting software Experience with CCH Axcess Tax a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment, communicate professionally with clients and staff, and take increasing ownership of assigned work.
