SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY)

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the PAY, PERFORMANCE AND DISABILITY SECTION of SECNAV BCNR.
You will review, analyze, and advise on the most difficult and controversial cases providing policy guidance and advice to the Director or Deputy Director.
You will be responsible for overseeing/ performing supervisory and managerial duties over GS-13 Human Resource Specialist and GS-12 Human Resource Specialist assigned by Executive Director or Deputy Director.
You will ensure proper use of the case tracking systems, provide briefings, and review and write reports of sensitive and controversial issues with congressional interest.
You will conduct case analysis, provide quality assurance of all cases follows applicable laws, Navy and Marine Corps regulations, and other instructions and established procedures for proper and/or equitable resolution of all cases.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience delivering critical policy guidance and strategic advice to leadership to resolve complex pay and benefits discrepancies Experience managing automated case tracking systems and participation in authoring high-profile briefings and reports on sensitive issues of interest to Congress Experience executing rigorous analytical quality assurance reviews in strict compliance with federal laws, military regulations, and established procedures in military pay and benefits Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=Group-Standards Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
