RN - Acute Care - Orthopedic Surgery - Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team in an acute care orthopedic surgical setting. They practice in a supportive environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and shared governance. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity. Collaborate with patients and families through effective communication methods, including bedside reports and education. Teamwork & Collaboration: Coordinate and document safe care delivery, promote respectful interdisciplinary communication, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and support research utilization to enhance patient outcomes. Professional Development: Complete ongoing competencies, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and engage in evidence-based practice and research activities, including data collection and protocol development. Resources & Support: Plan for patient care across the continuum, develop care protocols, and optimize resource use to achieve best practice outcomes. Qualifications & Skills: Requires an associate or bachelor’s nursing degree, current RN licensure (single or multi-state), and BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience is essential. Candidates should possess strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and teamwork skills, with proficiency in clinical technology and documentation.
