The Customer Service Representative will interact with customers by proactively addressing inquiries and resolving customer concerns in addition to assisting walk-in customers and supporting bottle dock operations as needed. Our Customer Service Representatives are committed to Service, Efficiency and Safety. Duties/Responsibilities Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services and serves as a liaison between customers and the company Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services Assists walk-in customers, processes cylinder sales and payments, and supports bottle dock operations as needed Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments Performs other related duties as assigned The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position. Qualifications Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience Experience in high-volume phone call settings (preferred) Experience in the propane, fuel, or energy industry (preferred) Skills/Abilities Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Service-oriented and the ability to resolve customer grievances Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new software Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using a phone, and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed in order to safely assist with duties around the office, plant, and bottle dock Occasional standing, walking, and outdoor work when assisting at the bottle dock Must pass pre-employment screening and background check The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work that is expected to be performed.
