Marketing Manager, 40 Years of Zen

The Asprey Group

Marketing Manager, 40 Years of Zen Location: Leander, TX (Hybrid, onsite required) Reports To: General Manager, 40 Years of Zen Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt About The Asprey Group The Asprey Group exists to Upgrade Humanity. Our portfolio spans biohacking, neuroscience, media, and performance-driven consumer brands, all built around a simple belief: most people are operating with more potential than they're using, and the right tools, environment, and science can unlock it. 40 Years of Zen is one of the most intensive expressions of that mission: an immersive neurofeedback experience that helps high performers rewire old patterns, build emotional resilience, and access a level of clarity most people never reach. This is deep, serious work, done in a calm, world-class setting in Leander, Texas. www.40yearsofzen.com About the Role 40 Years of Zen changes people. The hard part is putting that into words. This role exists because an experience this powerful deserves storytelling and marketing systems that match it. You'll own the brand voice, the content, the funnels, and the budget that bring 40 Years of Zen (and it's at-home extension, Satoria) to the people who need it most. You'll also keep the relationship alive long after someone leaves Leander by building and running our alumni community. You'll know you're doing this well when strangers understand what neurofeedback actually does within the first ten seconds of an ad, when enrollment funnels convert because the story was clear and honest, and when alumni stay engaged because they feel like part of something real, not a mailing list. What You'll Own Set and execute the marketing strategy, content calendar, and brand voice across all 40YOZ channels Manage the marketing budget, putting spend where it earns results and reporting on what it actually drove Create original photo, video, and written content in-house, from concept through final edit Build acquisition funnels for the Leander program and for Satoria, our take-home neurofeedback subscription Own email and lifecycle marketing, including segmentation and automation Lead and grow the alumni community, including programming, moderation, and turning client stories into content (with consent) Run guerrilla marketing, local partnerships, and grassroots tactics that work without requiring a big budget Represent 40 Years of Zen at select conferences and events Manage outside contractors, creators, and vendors What Success Looks Like In your first year, you'll have built marketing systems and a content engine that didn't fully exist before. You'll be managing the marketing budget with clear tracking on what each dollar produced. Satoria will have a real acquisition and retention funnel distinct from the in-center program. The alumni community will be active, not dormant, with regular programming and a visible flow of stories and referrals coming out of it. And the 40YOZ brand voice will be consistent and recognizable across every channel it touches. You'll Thrive Here If… You move from idea to execution quickly. You don't need a fully built playbook before you start creating one. You're comfortable owning ambiguity. Much of what this brand needs to say and build doesn't exist yet, and you'd rather shape it than wait for someone else to. You think in systems. A good campaign is nice; a funnel that keeps working after you've moved on to the next thing is better. You can operate independently day to day while still staying closely connected to the GM and broader team. This isn't a role where you disappear into your own lane. You know the difference between a moment that calls for speed (a trending opportunity, a quick creative turn) and one that calls for precision (a health claim, a client story, anything that touches the brand's credibility). You treat a marketing budget like your own money: accountable, tracked, and spent on what works. You genuinely like people. Building a community isn't a task to you, it's something you're drawn to. If you do your best work with a detailed brief, a fixed process, and minimal change week to week, this probably isn't the right fit. This role rewards people who build the process as they go. What You Bring Required: 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally in wellness, neuroscience, experiential hospitality, biohacking, or another performance-focused space Strong writing and storytelling skills, particularly with emotionally resonant or conceptually complex subject matter Hands-on content creation experience: photography, videography, editing, and scriptwriting Proven experience managing a marketing budget and demonstrating ROI Experience running multi-channel campaigns (email, social, video, web, paid) Working knowledge of WordPress, email platforms, analytics tools, and marketing AI tools, with a clear understanding of responsible AI use (data privacy, accuracy, transparency) Ability to travel occasionally for conferences and events, planned in advance Preferred: A portfolio of original creative campaigns or concepts you can walk us through Experience building or managing an online community (alumni, member, or customer) Experience marketing a subscription, membership, or connected-hardware product Nice to Have Background in neurofeedback, neuroscience, or related performance science Experience marketing an in-person experience alongside a connected at-home product Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $85,000 to $90,000 Annual Bonus Opportunity: Up to 10% Final offers are based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary within the posted range accordingly.
