&nbsp; LVT or Experienced Veterinary Assistant – Emergency/Critical Care (all shifts) Location:&nbsp;Puget Sound Veterinary Specialists and Emergency&nbsp;Schedule:&nbsp;Day (6:3a-7p), Mid (1p-1a), Overnight&nbsp;(7p-6:30a)&nbsp;Sign-On Bonus: $5000 for Overnight LVT or VTS&nbsp;&nbsp; About Us:&nbsp; Puget Sound Veterinary Specialists is a specialty animal hospital&nbsp;located&nbsp;in Gig Harbor, Washington. Our goal is to create an environment where both people and pets feel supported.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Position Overview and Schedule:&nbsp; We are seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants and Licensed Technicians to join our Emergency and Critical Care Department team. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, collaboration, and professionalism in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.&nbsp; &nbsp; Schedule details:&nbsp;3/12’s (4/10 schedule may be considered)&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Essential Responsibilities:&nbsp; Triage and obtain patient history from owners&nbsp; Perform diagnostic tests&nbsp;and&nbsp;out-patient&nbsp;procedures&nbsp; Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM&nbsp; Provide oversight and treatment for multiple ER patients, ensuring gold-standard patient nursing and husbandry&nbsp; Provide support and education to pet owners&nbsp; Maintain&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;medical records&nbsp; Discharge patients and answer client questions&nbsp; Fill prescriptions and review with owners&nbsp; Maintain cleanliness of the hospital&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Required Qualifications:&nbsp; Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ER setting, LVTs must hold an active Washington license or immanent transfer of licensure&nbsp; Strong communication&nbsp;and interpersonal skills&nbsp; Ability to handle fast-paced, high-stress situations with composure&nbsp; Confidence in life-saving procedures such as CPR/BLS&nbsp; Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills&nbsp;&nbsp; Compensation &amp; Benefits&nbsp; Competitive hourly rate&nbsp;commensurate&nbsp;with clinical experience:&nbsp; VTS ECC $40-$48&nbsp; LVT $31-$40&nbsp; Advanced&nbsp;or&nbsp;Experienced Veterinary Assistant $24-$32 Veterinary Assistant $20-28&nbsp; $5 per hour differential for all hours worked between 7pm
