This position is located in the Center for Mental Healthcare and Outcomes Research (CeMHOR) of the Health Services Research and Development Service (HSR&D) of the VA Medical Center in North Little Rock, AR. THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION Creates and update spreadsheets to analyze and evaluate needs and expenses and make recommendations to leadership regarding budget, travel, and staff availability; Conducts formative evaluations to identify and render administrative recommendations and/or decisions to implement efficient service management resources and products; Produces narrative reports and graphics based on the data collected and analyzed; Interprets and applies regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines appropriate to the service; Provides training to leadership and staff on administrative procedures to ensure compliance with regulations; Coordinates proposals, both prior to submission of formal applications and during post-award grant administration; Generates and monitors tracking systems to ensure progress on identified projects and grant proposals, timeliness of required responses, and the status of any unresolved actions; Serves as the point of contact for on-going information exchange and tracking for project operations across sites and projects; Researches and responds to general and specific inquires and information requests from VA leadership, community partners, and other non-VA collaborators on topics related to the mission, products, or services of the service; Collaborates and participates in writing and preparing narratives for VA leadership, professional organizations, and other agencies; Schedules, coordinates, and executes all logistical arrangements and preparations for both regular and special meetings or teleconferences; Performs timekeeping duties, tracks leave and compensatory time, and enters data into the Veterans Administration Time and Attendance System (VATAS); Performs related duties as required. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am

Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process. NOTE: This is a TEMPORARY appointment (not-to-exceed 3 years). This appointment may be renewed for additional service in accordance with Agency needs for 1 additional year. Temporary positions offer health insurance (if the employee is expected to work at least 130 hours per month for at least 90 days) but do not offer life insurance or retirement benefits and may be terminated at any time before the expiration date. The appointment to a Temporary position does not confer eligibility for promotion or reassignment to other positions or the ability to be non-competitively converted to permanent employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position? To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: creating and updating spreadsheets to analyze information and make recommendations to leadership on budget, travel, and staff availability; interpreting and applying policies and procedures; providing training/advise to program leadership and staff on administrative procedures; scheduling and coordinating meetings, taking and distributing meeting minutes, and preparing related travel arrangements; using automated systems to track employee leave and time and attendance; reviewing outgoing correspondence for grammar, format, and compliance with agency regulations and preparing professional documents for review and submittal; and writing and preparing content for reports and presentations using appropriate office presentation software.
