# Fund Management, Analyst

CAIS is&nbsp;seeking&nbsp;a highly organized and process-oriented Analyst to join the&nbsp;Fund&nbsp;Management&nbsp;team. This role will primarily support&nbsp;fund&nbsp;operations across single-investment and&nbsp;fund-of-funds vehicles, with opportunities to&nbsp;assist&nbsp;with&nbsp;fund&nbsp;accounting and financial reporting activities.&nbsp; The Analyst will also play&nbsp;an important role&nbsp;in learning, testing, and applying AI tools to improve how the team&nbsp;operates. The ideal candidate is curious about technology, eager to develop an understanding of alternative investment operations, and motivated to automate manual processes while&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;strong controls and data accuracy.&nbsp; Responsibilities&nbsp; Support the day-to-day operations of investment vehicles, including transactions, capital calls, distributions, cash movements, and other&nbsp;fund&nbsp;lifecycle events.&nbsp; Monitor underlying investments and&nbsp;coordinate&nbsp;with&nbsp;fund&nbsp;managers, administrators, custodians, and internal teams to ensure&nbsp;timely&nbsp;and&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;processing.&nbsp; Assist&nbsp;with cash and portfolio reconciliations, month-end and quarter-end activities, investor reporting, and other&nbsp;fund&nbsp;accounting deliverables.&nbsp; Maintain&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;fund&nbsp;data, operational trackers, process documentation, controls, and management reporting.&nbsp; Learn and apply AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, analyze data, prepare documentation, and reduce manual work.&nbsp; Test AI-generated outputs and&nbsp;new technology&nbsp;solutions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and&nbsp;appropriate controls.&nbsp; Support&nbsp;additional&nbsp;fund&nbsp;management, accounting, and strategic projects based on business needs.&nbsp; Qualifications&nbsp; Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or&nbsp;a related&nbsp;discipline preferred.&nbsp; 1–3 years of experience in&nbsp;fund&nbsp;operations,&nbsp;fund&nbsp;accounting, financial services, or a related field; alternative investment experience is preferred.&nbsp; Foundational understanding of investment operations,&nbsp;fund&nbsp;structures, reconciliations, or accounting principles.&nbsp; Strong interest in learning and applying AI tools to improve processes; experience using AI or automation tools is preferred.&nbsp; Strong Excel and analytical skills, with close attention to data accuracy and detail.&nbsp; Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.&nbsp; Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working with internal teams and external service providers.&nbsp; CAIS is consistently recognized as a Best Place to Work, and our culture is at the heart of our success. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is&nbsp;$72,000.00 - $88,000.00. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.&nbsp; CAIS offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental and vision insurance, an employer matched retirement plan, wellness programs, and generous PTO and parental leave.
