RN - Acute Care - Ortho Surgical - Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) in this role provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute care orthopedic surgical setting. They practice according to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and evidence-based guidelines, emphasizing individualized care, cultural competence, and partnership with patients and families. Key Responsibilities: Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practices. Delivering relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient populations. Partnering with patients and significant others through effective communication and education. Ensuring documentation, safety, and quality standards are maintained. Collaborating with the healthcare team via interdisciplinary rounds and promoting a respectful, inclusive environment. Participating in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Serving as a preceptor or mentor to support professional development and workforce sustainability. Supporting resource management and protocol development to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications & Skills: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred). Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification. Less than one year of clinical experience or completion of accredited nursing program. Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills with a focus on safety and quality.
