# Senior Graphic Designer, Board Games

Job Summary The Senior Graphic Designer, Board Games is responsible for the design of fun, engaging, and thematic graphics of board and card games which align with the vision and goals set by the studio. Additionally, the Senior Graphic Designer helps guide the graphic design team through mentorship, research and development, and creative process development. What will your role involve Design and develop thematic game elements, graphics, iconography, and text to create layouts of game components for board and card game products. Create intuitive and clear graphic elements to represent game mechanisms and translate ideas into a working, playable product. Design packaging and game logos to engage and attract consumers to the products. Coach other designers on their work and participate in a peer review process. Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed. Submit work for approval and incorporate feedback from creative leads to achieve the desired result. Maintain a library of component templates, follow a set of standard organizational practices, and improve upon current processes. Research, develop, and problem solve new design techniques, useful software, and innovative game components. Disseminate this knowledge to the team through training and demonstration. Collaborate with other project team members of diverse disciplines. Diligently pursue completion of work to meet project deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously if needed. Attend and/or lead regular meetings to discuss current projects and maintain excellent, frequent communication with team and other departments. All other graphic design tasks as assigned by management. What do you bring Position Skills & Qualifications Excellent, flexible, and creative design sensibilities. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven success at meeting deadlines. Ability to provide technical direction to others. Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and individuals. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field (or equivalent experience). Five or more years of Graphic Design experience required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Strong understanding of the methodologies and procedures of print and production processes. Experience in the hobby game market a plus. Experience with Blender, Modo, or equivalent 3D software a plus. Experience with coding in JavaScript, AppleScript, or equivalent a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Mac or Windows OS. Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location.
