SHIFT HOURS: 2 x 12 hours shift and 1 x 8 hours shift Mon 8am-8pm Thurs 8am-8pm Fri 8am-5pm One Sat a month 8 am
• 12 pm Location: 39450 W 12 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48377 GENERAL SUMMARY: As a Medical Assistant in our Walk-in Clinic, you'll be the vital link between our patients and clinical team. Working under the direction of our providers and nursing leadership, you'll deliver compassionate, high-quality care by performing a dynamic mix of administrative and clinical responsibilities. You'll make a real difference every day by creating welcoming patient experiences and supporting our clinical team in delivering excellent care. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Welcome patients and guide them through their clinic experience with warmth and professionalism Obtain comprehensive medical histories and engage patients in meaningful conversations about their health concerns Measure, record, and communicate vital signs accurately to support clinical decision-making Prepare patients for examinations and procedures with clear communication and compassionate support Collaborate with providers during patient examinations and procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth workflows Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our Electronic Medical Record system Support the clinical team in delivering efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We're seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented professional ready to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced clinical environment. Here's what will set you up for success: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: You bring one of the following qualifications: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hours minimum), OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with a minimum of one year of hands-on clinical medical assisting experience within the past five years, OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with at least one year of clinical medical assisting experience, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one year of clinical experience in a medical setting within the past five years, OR Military-trained medical personnel with at least one year of clinical experience in a medical setting within the past five years CORE COMPETENCIES: To thrive in this role, you'll demonstrate: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that build trust with patients and colleagues Strong problem-solving abilities and clinical judgment Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems—EPIC experience is a plus Solid computer skills and keyboarding ability Ability to perform a diverse range of clinical skills in an ambulatory care setting High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES: Current BLS-C certification required upon hire, or successful completion by the end of your orientation period.
