# Supervisory Program Analyst (Regional Team Lead)

About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). This is a mobile worker position. This position requires you to reside in one of the counties listed below under additional information in either District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia.
Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and direction to a team of Regional Program Analysts.
Oversee the implementation of assigned programs and services across all regions, ensuring alignment with agency goals and objectives.
Ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of guidance, policy updates, and strategic messaging from Military Community Support Programs to relevant stakeholders.
Serve as the liaison between the Military Services, community partners, and Military Community Support Programs, ensuring operational cohesion, responsiveness, and collaborative partnerships.
Analyze regional utilization data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, developing and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance program effectiveness.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes leading programmatic oversight, guidance and/or direction on non-medical counseling and military family programs, serving as an organizational representative and liaison to internal and external stakeholders, monitoring service delivery against contract terms, service level benchmarks, and agency goals, managing workload distribution, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and/or agency policies, preparing trainings and/or workshops, and recommending improvements to optimize program effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
