Acute Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Role Overview: The Inpatient Services RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for delivering clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Key Responsibilities: Perform patient data collection and analysis, adjust treatment plans, and document in medical records. Provide patient and family education, recognize and report changes in patient status, and coordinate communication with healthcare providers. Administer medications, monitor responses, and manage intradialytic transfusions. Assist with emergency responses and serve as a resource for staff training and orientation. May provide specialized nursing instructions and support in outpatient settings. Qualifications and Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing school, current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a minimum of 9 months RN experience with 6 months in acute dialysis preferred. Entry-level nephrology experience is acceptable. Capable of heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and working in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to infectious materials. Additional Duties: Supervise and oversee patient care staff as designated, complete required training, and participate in quality improvement activities. Must be adaptable to work in various settings and participate in on-call rotations.
