# HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL)

Bureau of Naval Personnel

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL)in the RESERVE PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND RESERVE. You will serve as an authoritative source and provide administrative assistance in interpretation and application of federal, Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DON) and other laws, regulations, policies, procedures as required.
You will act as an advocate and provide customer service for reservists, retirees, and their families.
You will conduct research and administrative investigations and completes approved corrective action within specific timelines.
You will provide training in applicable systems duties, and guidance concerning Navy Reserve officers and enlisted personnel.
You will analyze survey data to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and for improvement, and document the findings.
GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1. Advising on complex military personnel policies and procedures. 2. Utilizing automated systems to manage and track personnel data. 3. Analyzing and resolving complex issues by interpreting regulations and recommending solutions. 4. Demonstrating an understanding of military human resources principles to administer personnel programs and actions. 5. Preparing official correspondence, reports, and personnel-related documentation.
