Ad Agency Graphic Designer — Mid/Senior Level Full-Time | Remote | Columbus, OH Salary: $85,000–$100,000 annually, plus benefits LOCATION REQUIREMENT: This position is open only to candidates currently based in the United States. About The Company: M-Marketing is a national media planning and buying agency with deep expertise in multi-unit retail and franchise brands. We combine decades of big-brand and big-agency experience with the agility, accessibility and tenacity of a smaller independent agency. Now we’re entering an exciting next stage of our growth. While media planning and buying remain at the core of our business, we’re rapidly expanding the creative services we provide to our clients—and at the same time aiming to significantly elevate the M-Marketing brand itself. That means creating a more sophisticated and cohesive visual identity across everything from client presentations and advertising to social, digital, and new-business materials. Our current website is an interim step in that evolution. The designer who joins us will be counted on to play a leading role in taking it—and the broader M-Marketing visual brand—to the next level. About The Role: We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to assume a hands-on role with considerable ownership– working across both the agency’s own brand and M-Marketing’s growing client creative business. You’ll have the ability to work independently without requiring extensive creative direction at every step. You’ll work closely with our Creative Director, who will serve as your primary creative and copywriting partner, as well as members of our senior agency team. Importantly, this isn’t a position where you’ll simply inherit a mature brand system and spend your time executing within it. M-Marketing is growing and evolving—expanding what we do creatively for our clients and building a stronger and more distinctive agency brand. We’re looking for a designer who wants to help shape what that next version of M-Marketing looks like. Key Responsibilities:
• Create high-quality graphic design across a wide range of client and agency needs, including advertising, presentations, digital and social content, marketing collateral, new-business materials, and other brand communications.
• Lead the design and ongoing evolution of the M-Marketing website, creating a more sophisticated, contemporary and cohesive expression of the agency brand.
• Develop and maintain visual brand standards, including typography, color, imagery and style.
• Partner closely with the Creative Director and agency leadership to translate strategic and creative direction into finished work.
• Work effectively leading outside creative, production and other resources when needed.
• Bring fresh thinking to the agency—identifying opportunities to improve our creative output and introducing new design approaches, tools and ideas. What We're Looking For:
• 5–8+ years of professional graphic design or art direction experience.
• An exceptional portfolio demonstrating compelling visual thinking and high-quality finished work across multiple formats.
• Solid PowerPoint presentation-design and production skills.
• Strong website design capabilities, including an understanding of responsive design, visual hierarchy and UX/UI principles.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Digital advertising and social media creative expertise.
• Motion graphics and video editing experience using tools such as Premiere is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with website developers and/or digital teams.
• Previous experience working in an agency environment is desirable, but not at all necessary. Sound Like You?
