Quality Control Technician

Job Title: Quality Control Technician Location: Tulsa, OK Department: Quality Reports To : Quality Manager Job Type: Full-Time Summary Inspect industrial control panels against electrical and dimensional drawings prior to shipment. Panels include Variable Frequency Drive, Soft Start and custom control panels built to UL 508A requirements. This is an entry-level quality position. No prior QC experience is required; we train, and there is a defined advancement path into function testing and senior technician roles. Responsibilities Inspect control panels against electrical schematics and dimensional drawings. Verify component selection including coil voltages, wire/cable gauges and torque requirements. Inspect hardware and wiring for defects. Energize and function test control panels Hand and light power tool operation. Document inspection results accurately and completely. Learn AID quality procedures, test methods and UL 508A fundamentals from senior technicians. Requirements Basic knowledge of AC and DC circuits Basic knowledge of wiring methods Ability to read electrical and dimensional drawings Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook and Word Must be able to accurately distinguish colors, including wire and cable color coding Must be able to read a tape measure Must be detail-oriented with accurate paperwork Must practice good/safe housekeeping Excellent verbal and written communication skills Work is in an industrial area and may include light manual labor. Candidates must be able to bend/lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods Must comply with PPE requirements Most of the work is at our Tulsa facility but light travel is expected on occasion Preferred Previous manufacturing, electrical or inspection experience Formal technical training or trade school coursework in an electrical field Must be able to pass a 7-year background check. We also conduct pre-employment drug testing. Any job offer will be based on the results of the background check and drug test. Must submit to pre-employment background, drug, and alcohol screening. Salary: $20 - $25 per hour
