If you are eager to join a growth stage company and be part of the early team that is shaping the foundation of both the company and the delivery of pediatric care, then this opportunity might be for you!POSITION OVERVIEW  As a Cross-Trained Medical Assistant (MA) in Las Vegas, Nevada, you will play an important role in supporting both the clinical and front-office functions of the clinic, helping create a seamless experience for patients, families, and providers.  This is a true cross-trained position designed to flex between the front and back of the clinic based on daily needs. You may support patient check-in and scheduling at the front desk, then transition to rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering vaccines, and assisting providers with clinical care.  You will support patients and families throughout their entire visit—from check-in through discharge—while partnering closely with providers and fellow team members to keep the clinic running efficiently. Success in this role requires flexibility, strong communication, and a team-first mindset.  WHAT YOU’LL DO  Clinical Care & Provider Support  Greet, room, and prepare patients for appointments with warmth and professionalism.  Complete patient intake, obtain vital signs, and conduct assessments within defined scope of practice.  Perform point-of-care testing, including strep, flu, RSV, COVID, hemoglobin, and other approved testing.  Administer vaccines safely and accurately and monitor patients for adverse reactions.  Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care and procedures.  Prepare, stock, and maintain exam rooms while following infection control standards.  Support medication refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and patient recall efforts.  Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in the EMR.  Front Office & Patient Experience  Welcome patients and families and support check-in and registration.  Collect and verify demographic, insurance, and other required patient information.  Schedule appointments, follow-ups, consultations, and referrals.  Answer and manage incoming calls with empathy and professionalism.  Support patient check-out and ensure appropriate follow-up care is coordinated.  Assist with patient outreach related to quality measures, recalls, and follow-up care.  Maintain clear communication with providers and clinic team members to support continuity of care.  Assist with opening and closing procedures and overall clinic organization.  Cross-Trained Clinic Support  Flex between front-office and clinical responsibilities throughout the day based on patient volume, provider schedules, and clinic needs.  Provide coverage across both the front and back of the clinic to help maintain efficient patient flow.  Work collaboratively with the entire clinic team, stepping in where support is needed most.  Adapt quickly as clinic priorities and patient needs change throughout the day.  Identify opportunities to improve workflows, patient experience, and clinic efficiency.  Serve as a positive representative of the clinic’s mission, vision, and values.   WHAT YOU’LL NEED   High school diploma or equivalent.  Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.  Current BLS certification.  1+ year of experience in a Medical Assistant or patient-facing healthcare role.  Comfort supporting both clinical and front-office responsibilities within a medical practice.  Experience navigating electronic medical records and scheduling systems.  Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.  Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.  Flexibility and a collaborative, team-first approach.  Commitment to delivering compassionate, inclusive, and family-centered care.  At Zarminali Pediatrics, we are committed to our empowering clinicians and team members to deliver better pediatric care, altogether.
