We are seeking an experienced Systems Manager to join our organization in a permanent, full-time, on-site role based in Maslak, Istanbul . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization’s data center, server, storage, virtualization, backup, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient system operations. This role requires strong hands-on experience in enterprise data center environments, Linux and open-source systems, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure operations, as well as proven leadership capabilities in managing technical teams. The Systems Manager will work closely with Information Security teams, internal stakeholders, data center service providers, and technology vendors to ensure system availability, performance, security, business continuity, and the successful delivery of infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Manage data center infrastructure, physical and virtual servers, storage, backup, and hybrid cloud environments, Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, updates, and lifecycle management of Linux-based open-source systems, Monitor system availability, performance, capacity, and SLA/KPI metrics, Manage virtualization, high availability, replication, and workload continuity solutions, Manage Active Directory / Entra ID, Microsoft 365, user accounts, and access permissions, Plan and test backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes in line with RTO/RPO targets, Coordinate critical incidents and lead root cause analysis and permanent improvement initiatives, Implement controls related to system security, logging, privileged access, vulnerability management, and patch management, Plan data center capacity, hardware, licensing, and technology investments, Manage the technical processes of vendors and data center service providers, Maintain up-to-date system inventories, architectural documentation, and operational procedures, Manage task allocation, development, and performance of the IT team, Provide senior management with reports on system performance, capacity, risks, and outages. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, Minimum 7 years of experience in systems infrastructure, preferably including at least 2 years of experience in team management or technical operations management, Strong experience in enterprise data center operations, Advanced hands-on experience in managing Linux and open-source systems, Strong knowledge of Red Hat, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux, Ubuntu, or similar Linux distributions, Knowledge of open-source technologies such as Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, or similar technologies, Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, KVM, Nutanix, or similar solutions, Strong knowledge of servers, storage, SAN, NAS, backup, replication, and high-availability solutions, Knowledge of data center operations, including power, cooling, rack management, capacity planning, hardware, and business continuity processes, Experience in Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration, Preferably knowledgeable in Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and system automation, Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall technologies, Strong knowledge of ITIL, ISO 27001, KVKK (Turkish Personal Data Protection Law), and information security processes, Strong team management, problem-solving, and crisis management skills, Ability to participate in on-call duties when required, Good command of English is preferred.
