Assemble and try-out sheet metal stamping dies Safely operate presses, press feeder equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes, surface grinders and other machine tools. Responsible for quality and on time delivery of new tool build projects. Effectively communicate with engineering and quality team members when trouble shooting. Help train and mentor apprentices on how dies are built and supposed to function. Journeyman Tool and Die Maker set up and operate machine tools (surface grinders, drill presses, and milling machines). Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes Understand and use a wide range of precision measuring instruments.
