# Senior Accountant

L & S Electric, Inc.

Duties/Responsibilities Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Ensures that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards. Assists external auditors and provides required statements and information for the annual audits. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation. Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer relations skills. Work effectively as an individual and in a team environment. Proficient use of personal computers, possess practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word. Advanced Excel skills is a plus! Able to travel as needed. Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required. Five years or more of related experience required. CPA and/or CMA designation preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times. Summary Why L & S Electric?
