# Founding Business Development Rep

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a founding BDR position at a seed-stage AI-native legal tech company, where you will build the outbound sales engine from the ground up. You will own pipeline generation end-to-end and help define what go-to-market looks like for a fast-growing legal services platform serving commercial clients.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Run high-volume outbound prospecting across email, phone, and LinkedIn to build qualified pipeline.
• Qualify leads and find creative ways to consistently book meetings with key decision-makers.
• Own the full sales motion from initial sourcing through closing qualified opportunities into revenue.
• Build feedback loops that sharpen messaging, improve targeting, and raise outbound execution quality.
• Continuously identify ways to move faster, scale pipeline generation, and set higher quality standards.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 1 to 2 years of sales experience at a high-growth startup, with a track record of hitting or exceeding quota.
• Demonstrated ability to run high-volume outbound prospecting campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn.
• Experience prospecting and selling into startups, founders, or operations buyers.
• Strong written communicator whose cold outreach and follow-ups consistently generate responses.
• Ability to build and iterate on messaging, targeting strategies, and sales processes using performance data.
• Ownership mentality with complete accountability for pipeline and revenue outcomes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating well outside your comfort zone in an early-stage environment.
• Resilience and resourcefulness in the face of rejection, with the drive to iterate and improve.
• Willingness to work intensely in a high-bar, fast-paced environment.
• Experience in legal tech, contract management, or legal services is a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
LOCATION
This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, California.
