Join us!   Description: ACT1 Federal is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to provide senior-level cloud-architecture, data-platform, cybersecurity-engineering, and implementation-support services to the Director of Data Management and Performance Assessment, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for the Defense Industrial Base (DASN (DIB)). The architect supports Department of the Navy (DON) efforts to establish and sustain cloud-enabled data and analytics capabilities for assessing industrial-base performance, production capacity, supply-chain risk, investment activity, and program outcomes.  This position requires a senior technical subject matter expert with demonstrated experience designing and supporting secure enterprise cloud environments, data platforms, and analytic workloads. The architect shall be capable of developing cloud-architecture designs, landing-zone concepts, implementation roadmaps, technical standards, and documented tradeoff analyses that enable Government consideration and authorized implementation of data-management and performance-assessment capabilities.  Responsibilities:  Provide senior cloud-architecture, data-platform, cybersecurity-engineering, and implementation-support services for DASN (DIB) data-management and performance-assessment initiatives.  Develop target cloud-architecture designs, technical roadmaps, reference architectures, implementation plans, and technical decision-support products for Government review.  Design cloud landing-zone concepts and supporting architecture patterns for data, analytics, reporting, software-engineering, and other approved workloads.  Develop architecture documentation addressing identity and access management, role-based access control, privileged-access concepts, network segmentation, network boundaries, storage, compute, monitoring, logging, backup, recovery, scalability, performance, and cost-management considerations.  Prepare technical analyses and architecture documentation supporting Government assessment of hosting, handling, security, and authorization requirements for proposed data and analytic workloads.  Analyze tradeoffs among managed cloud services, custom services, cost, performance, scalability, resilience, security, operational supportability, and mission needs.  Develop draft cloud-architecture standards, technical patterns, governance recommendations, configuration baselines, and reusable reference artifacts for Government review and approval.  Support Government-authorized cloud-environment provisioning, configuration, validation, documentation, and transition activities.  Develop infrastructure-as-code, configuration-management, automation, and repeatable deployment approaches supporting authorized cloud-environment implementation and sustainment.  Support data-platform architecture for data ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, reporting, data governance, and performance-assessment capabilities.  Assess technical dependencies, data flows, integration requirements, security considerations, operational risks, cost drivers, and implementation constraints affecting cloud and analytic workloads.  Prepare executive briefings, technical memoranda, architecture diagrams, implementation roadmaps, decision packages, and status reports for senior technical and nontechnical stakeholders.  Coordinate technical products and supporting information with DASN (DIB) directorates, ASN (RD&A) offices, DON acquisition organizations, DON enterprise service providers, Department of War stakeholders, and other Government-approved points of contact, as directed by the Government.  Support time-sensitive taskers, technical reviews, executive engagements, and approved working groups associated with cloud, data, analytics, and industrial-base performance-assessment initiatives.  Requirements:  Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, operations research, engineering, computer science, business analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.  10+ years’ experience in cloud architecture, cybersecurity engineering, data management, analytics, and performance-assessment capabilities  Experience supporting Flank Speed, DON enterprise-cloud services, Azure Government, or other Department of War cloud environments.  Experience supporting DoD cloud security requirements, cloud authorization processes, security-control implementation, system authorization-package development, or related risk-management activities.  Experience with enterprise data engineering, data architecture, analytics platforms, business intelligence, data visualization, data governance, artificial intelligence-enabled analytics, or industrial-data environments.  Experience with data-platform integration, application programming interfaces, event-driven architecture, cloud-native application design, DevSecOps, or continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.  Experience supporting Department of the Navy, Department of War, Federal acquisition, national-security, defense-industrial-base, or comparable complex public-sector organizations.  Experience with industrial-base, supply-chain, manufacturing, logistics, investment, readiness, or performance-assessment data environments.  The position may require support outside normal business hours to meet time-sensitive transaction, interagency, executive, or industrial-base requirements.  Current Top Secret.
