Referment is working with a global investment and technology firm to find software developers for technically demanding work at the heart of systematic investing. Technology supports almost every part of the organisation, so the role offers scope to tackle problems spanning real-time data, distributed systems and quantitative modelling. You will collaborate with quantitative and engineering colleagues, applying strong software design, analytical and mathematical skills to systems that influence live research and trading decisions. The team welcomes strong candidates at different career stages. The Role Design and build software for quantitative research and systematic trading. Develop distributed systems that analyse and respond to incoming data in real time. Create tools for advanced mathematical modelling and statistical analysis. Work with researchers and other developers to translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable systems. Investigate performance and scale challenges where engineering choices directly affect analytical capability. What We're Looking For Substantial hands-on software development experience, with strong foundations in algorithms, data structures and software design. Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability. A record of high achievement in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related technical field. The ability to collaborate clearly on complex technical problems and contribute to rigorous design decisions. This could suit an exceptional software engineer from technology, quantitative finance or research computing who wants challenging systems work closely connected to mathematical problems. #Referment
