About Us We are a fast-paced immigration law firm managing a high-volume asylum and removal defense portfolio. We litigate complex cases in front of some of the toughest Immigration Judges in the country. We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Asylum Paralegal to work directly with our lead litigation team. The Role This is not a simple data-entry position. You will be on the front lines of removal proceedings, assisting our attorneys with trial preparation, client communication, and case strategy. You must know your way around both EOIR and USCIS procedures. What You Will Do Drafting & Preparation: Prepare complex asylum filings (I-589), motions, and evidentiary packets for Immigration Court (EOIR) and USCIS. Quality Control: Your work will be intensely reviewed by our trial attorneys. Uncompromising attention to detail is a must—your drafts must be high-quality, accurate, and trial-ready the second you send them to the attorney for review. Heavy Client Communication: You will be in constant contact with clients. Expect to spend several hours a day on the phone gathering evidence, conducting case preparation, and keeping clients informed. Research: Conduct deep-dive factual and country conditions research to support legal briefs. Who You Are (Requirements) Experienced: You have proven, hands-on experience specifically in Removal Proceedings and Asylum law. You know how immigration court works. Bilingual (Strict Requirement): You have absolute fluency in both English and Turkish (Speaking, Reading, and Writing). Note: B2 level is not enough. You must be able to draft flawless professional legal correspondence and translate complex legal concepts. A "Completed Staff Work" Professional: We despise upward delegation. We are looking for a problem-solver who brings solutions, not just questions. If you hit a roadblock, you research the rules, find the answer, and present the attorney with a ready-to-execute solution. Exceptional Time Management: You must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple strict court deadlines. Leaving critical filings or client prep to the last day is unacceptable. High Emotional Intelligence: You must have the ability to maintain firm professional boundaries while managing highly stressed, anxious, or traumatized clients on a daily basis. Availability: Must be available to work from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM PT (Pacific Time). What We Offer
