We are looking for high-energy, kind, and collaborative individuals eager to grow personally and professionally while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.Position Summary The Oral Immunotherapy Mixer plays a critical role in supporting the Oral Immunotherapy&nbsp;(OIT) program by preparing patient-specific food allergen capsules and dosing materials&nbsp;according to established protocols. This position requires exceptional attention to detail,&nbsp;accuracy in measurements, and strict adherence to quality and safety standards. The ideal&nbsp;candidate thrives in a highly structured environment where tasks may be repetitive but&nbsp;require consistent precision and concentration. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare patient-specific OIT capsules and allergen doses according to prescribed&nbsp;mixing protocols and schedules.&nbsp;
• Accurately weigh, measure, and compound food allergen products using calibrated&nbsp;equipment.&nbsp;
• Follow detailed preparation procedures to ensure dosing accuracy and patient&nbsp;safety. Maintain organized records of mixing activities, inventory usage, expiration&nbsp;dates, and lot numbers.&nbsp;
• Review patient-specific instructions and verify formulations before preparation.&nbsp;
• Utilize Excel spreadsheets and tracking tools to document production, inventory,&nbsp;and quality control activities.&nbsp;
• Label, package, and organize prepared OIT materials for clinical use and patient&nbsp;distribution.&nbsp;
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to leadership.&nbsp;
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace in accordance with clinic&nbsp;policies.&nbsp;
• Participate in quality assurance processes, double-checking measurements and&nbsp;calculations for accuracy.&nbsp;
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient treatment schedules and dosing&nbsp;requirements.&nbsp;
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and handling procedures related to food&nbsp;allergen preparation. Required Skills &amp; Competencies
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong mathematical skills, including calculations, conversions, ratios, and&nbsp;measurements.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including tracking, data&nbsp;entry, inventory management, and quality documentation.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent focus and precision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
• Ability to follow written protocols and standardized procedures with minimal&nbsp;deviation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify discrepancies before they affect&nbsp;patient care.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards. Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a science or healthcare-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry,&nbsp;Biochemistry, Health Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or related discipline).
• Experience working in a laboratory, pharmacy, compounding, healthcare,&nbsp;manufacturing, or other highly regulated environment.
• Experience with inventory management, quality assurance processes, and&nbsp;standardized documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced clinical&nbsp;environmentPhysical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic, if applicable, for extended periods; occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs., bend, stoop, or reach as needed. Frequent use of hands and fingers for patient care and equipment operation. Must have normal (or corrected) vision and hearing and be able to respond quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment, if applicable.
