# Handyman/Facilities Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Maintenance / Facilities Specialist . This position is responsible for the general maintenance, upkeep, and appearance of our facility, including offices, common areas, parking areas, and exterior grounds. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working with their hands, can perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance tasks, and is able to work independently with minimal supervision. This position will handle day-to-day facility needs, assist with office moves and setups, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required. Responsibilities Handle basic electrical and plumbing repairs, including lights, switches, fixtures, faucets, and toilet components. Repair, assemble, install, and adjust furniture, shelving, doors, hardware, and office fixtures. Move and rearrange furniture, equipment, and office items as needed. Assist with office moves, room setups, events, and special facility projects. Perform minor drywall, painting, caulking, and general repairs. Perform basic preventative maintenance and identify issues requiring outside service. Assist with landscaping, trimming, exterior cleanup, walkways, parking areas, and general property upkeep. Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Respond to maintenance requests and complete work in a timely manner. Perform occasional cleanup, trash/recycling removal, and other duties related to facility maintenance. Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Perform other maintenance duties and special projects assigned. May be assigned to travel to other company properties to perform building maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep as needed. Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years of building maintenance, facilities, handyman, or related experience preferred. Strong hands-on troubleshooting and basic repair skills. General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and furniture assembly. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment. Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to maintenance needs. Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional. Good communication skills and ability to work with employees, vendors, and contractors. Able to recognize when specialized or licensed repairs are required. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance tasks. Eligibility Requirements Must be willing and able to work in Burbank, CA Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Must be at least 18 years of age.
