# Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting

This is an on-site position in Westford, MA. Candidates must currently reside in the Greater Boston area and be able to commute to Westford; candidates living outside the Greater Boston area should not apply. Global software company seeks Staff Accountant who will join a collaborative six-person Corporate Accounting team in a highly visible role. This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced public company environment and wants to expand their accounting and ERP expertise. You’ll play an important role in the monthly and quarterly close, supporting general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, financial reporting, and audit/SOX requirements. You’ll also have opportunities to improve processes, work cross-functionally, and contribute to special projects. Responsibilities: Support the monthly and quarterly Corporate close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger and consolidation activities. Perform account and expense analyses and assist with variance analysis and internal financial reporting. Support Big 4 audits, quarterly reviews, and SOX testing. Help maintain Corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies. Develop expertise in the company’s ERP environment and help enhance procedures and training. Collaborate with Accounting and cross-functional teams on projects and special initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. 1+ year of relevant Corporate accounting experience. Solid understanding of accounting principles and account reconciliations. Experience with monthly close and variance analysis preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel. Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, or another Tier 1 ERP is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight close deadlines. Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn and grow. Base salary in the $80,000-$85,000 range, plus anual bonus opportunity.
