Senior Counsel | Medical Malpractice Defense | Los Angeles  Bring Your Experience to a Team That Will Trust You to Use It.  Tyson & Mendes is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel with 8+ years of litigation experience to join our Los Angeles Medical Malpractice team.  This opportunity is designed for a seasoned litigator who is comfortable taking ownership of sophisticated matters, exercising independent judgment, working directly with clients, and moving cases forward.  If you have built a strong foundation in medical malpractice, professional liability, healthcare litigation, or complex insurance defense and are ready for greater responsibility, we want to talk.  Sophisticated Healthcare Litigation  You will work alongside Partner Mark Kiefer, whose nearly 40 year practice focuses on healthcare and medical and professional malpractice.  Mark represents a broad range of healthcare professionals and organizations, including hospitals, physicians, nurses, dentists, psychologists, psychiatrists, skilled nursing facilities, detox centers, correctional healthcare providers, home healthcare professionals, EMTs, and paramedics.  His practice also includes elder abuse, wrongful death, personal injury, and general liability matters.  For an attorney who enjoys the intersection of medicine, law, strategy, experts, and high stakes litigation, this is an opportunity to build deep experience in a sophisticated practice.  Work With a Recognized Medical Malpractice Litigator  Mark brings nearly four decades of litigation experience and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell.  His experience includes litigating the landmark California Supreme Court case Wilson v. Parker, Cover & Chidester, which established the interim adverse judgment rule.  He is also a frequent CE and CLE presenter and previously served as Special Counsel and Managing Partner before joining Tyson & Mendes.  Your Experience Matters Here  At the Senior Counsel level, we're not looking for someone who needs every next step mapped out.  We're looking for someone who can take ownership.  You should be comfortable:  Managing sophisticated matters and competing deadlines Developing and executing case strategy Taking and defending depositions Working with medical experts Handling substantive motion practice Communicating directly with clients and carriers Evaluating exposure and driving cases toward resolution or trial  Mark maintains a significant caseload, making this an especially strong opportunity for an experienced attorney who enjoys autonomy and knows how to keep litigation moving.
