Director of Sales & Marketing

Job Description Key Accountabilities Develops and implements annual room, banquet, and digital marketing strategies targeting key market segments (corporate, consortia, MICE, luxury partnerships) to achieve hotel revenue budgets. Owns overall revenue-management, e-commerce, and distribution strategies across direct and third-party channels to protect rate integrity and maximize room revenue. Directs brand marketing, PR, and communications strategies while acting as Brand Guardian to ensure all promotional assets meet The Peninsula Hotels luxury standards. Serves as one of the hotel’s spokespersons and advises the Executive Committee on Sales & Marketing, crisis management, and brand reputation matters. Maintains high-level luxury brand partnerships, industry contacts, travel partners, and media relationships to elevate the hotel’s positioning. Collaborates with Division Heads to drive commercial performance across all revenue streams, including Food & Beverage, Spa & Wellness, and ancillary services. Manages the annual Sales & Marketing budget, oversees division P&L, and provides regular commercial analytics and ROI reports to Senior Leadership. Leads, coaches, and develops the Sales & Marketing team, driving succession planning, performance reviews, and continuous professional growth. Serves as an active member of the Executive Committee, participating in overall hotel leadership duties, duty management, and strategic project management. Profile Description General Requirements Proven executive leadership experience in Sales & Marketing within a Luxury Hotel Environment. Strategic thinker with deep expertise in revenue management, luxury brand PR, digital marketing, and distribution channels. Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success in budget management, P&L analysis, and driving ROI. Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities. Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and crisis communication skills. Fluent English and Turkish communication proficiency.
