ABOUT THIS ROLE
We're hiring a Senior Product Operations Manager to run the operational side of Highbeam's financial products: our banking, card, and payments partners, the compliance obligations that come with them, and the operational readiness of every product we launch.
Product managers own what we build and why. You own making it run: keeping partners on schedule, turning compliance requirements into product and process, and making sure each new product has its risk, support, and reporting operations in place on day one. The bar is partner programs that ship when we say they will and stay in good standing, without leadership getting pulled into day-to-day partner and compliance work.
This role is based in our NoHo, NYC office or Toronto office.
What you'll do
• Own day-to-day relationships with our bank, card, and payments partners: timelines, open questions, redlines, and escalations. You and the PM run new partnerships together
• Hold partners accountable to their timelines, and escalate internally when something is stuck
• Review new partner programs and agreements for compliance: what they require, how that maps to our existing policies, and what has to change (reporting obligations, covenants, KYB/KYC requirements)
• Work with our compliance officer and outside specialists to turn policies into product and process, then drive the resulting changes with product and engineering
• Get new products ready to operate before launch: risk processes, support operations, partner reporting, and runbooks
• Work across all of our PMs and partners, since one partner often supports several products and one product often depends on several partners
• Coordinate audit and certification work (SOC2, PCI, BSA/AML) with external auditors and contractors
• Lead incident response with partners when money movement breaks
• Work with the leadership and provide them with clear, trusted status on every partner program
Example projects
• KYB/KYC and compliance requirements as we expand into global banking
• Pay-by-card: BPSP registration and card network processes, Amex acceptance, and international payments
• Operational setup for our treasury and money market products
• Bringing wire callbacks in-house and standing up the support team to handle them
• Compliance, reporting, and covenant management with our capital partners
• Launching a metal card with a card manufacturer

• Every product launches with risk, support, and reporting operations in place

Qualifications
• 4+ years in product operations, partner or program management, or fintech operations at a fintech, BaaS provider, bank, or payments company
• Hands-on experience with sponsor banks, card networks, or payments vendors: onboarding, diligence, program requirements, and ongoing oversight
• Working knowledge of KYB/KYC, BSA/AML, card network rules, SOC2, and PCI; you can read a program agreement or policy and explain what it means for the product
• Familiar with the fintech stack (flow of funds, payment rails, card issuing and acceptance) to lead partner calls and brief PMs and engineers afterward
• Relentless follow-through across many workstreams at once
• Strong written communication
• Comfortable with AI tools to speed up coordination and documentation
• Bonus: experience standing up support or risk operations for a new financial product
