# Senior Full Stack Engineer / Hybrid / Chicago, IL

A rapidly growing software company in the equipment technology space is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its product development organization. This full-time position is based in Chicago's River North neighborhood and follows a hybrid schedule. The team is building modern cloud applications using TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, JavaScript, and AWS while introducing innovative AI-driven functionality into its product suite. This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who wants to work on meaningful products with direct business impact. The organization is making significant investments in artificial intelligence, including voice-based automation and advanced workflow solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with executive leadership and play a key role in shaping product strategy, architecture, and technical direction while continuing to grow their expertise in modern cloud technologies and AI-enabled applications. Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript Experience developing applications with Node.js Front-end experience with Next.js, React, or similar frameworks Experience working with AWS cloud technologies Understanding of modern software development best practices Strong communication and collaboration skills Desired Skills & Experience Experience building SaaS products Exposure to AI, machine learning, or LLM-based applications Experience designing scalable APIs and backend services Familiarity with cloud-native architecture Experience working in agile product teams Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field What You Will Be Doing Design and develop full stack web applications Build scalable backend services and APIs Create modern user-facing experiences using React and Next.js Contribute to AI voice automation initiatives Collaborate with product and leadership teams on strategic projects Participate in architecture and technical design discussions Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance Tech Breakdown 40% TypeScript / Node.js Backend Development 30% Front End Development (Next.js / React) 20% AWS Cloud Engineering 10% AI and Voice Automation Technologies Daily Responsibilities 80% Hands On Development 5% Management Duties 15% Team Collaboration The Offer Competitive base salary of $150,000 to $200,000 Bonus eligible You will receive the following benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Vacation Time Paid Holidays 401(k) Program Professional Development Opportunities Stock Options Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
