Role Description The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Middletown, DE, responsible for supporting overall restaurant operations and team leadership. This role assists the General Manager in overseeing daily shifts, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and ensuring an excellent guest experience. The Assistant General Manager coordinates staffing and scheduling, trains and coaches team members, and helps drive performance goals related to sales, labor, and cost control. Daily responsibilities include monitoring restaurant cleanliness, managing inventory and ordering, handling cash and financial procedures, and resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally. The role also contributes to a positive, inclusive work environment where team members are engaged, supported, and aligned with honeygrow’s values. Qualifications Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including supervising teams and leading shifts. Strong skills in guest service, conflict resolution, and communication to create a welcoming environment. Ability to manage scheduling, inventory, and basic financial processes such as cash handling and cost control. Knowledge of food safety, cleanliness standards, and operational procedures in a fast-paced setting. Demonstrated leadership qualities including accountability, coaching, and team development. Comfort working on-site, standing for extended periods, and performing hands-on operational tasks. Organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Previous experience in fast-casual or quick-service restaurants is beneficial. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or business is a plus.
