Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Location: Boston, MA Schedule: 100% Onsite Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $95,000-$120,000 We are partnering with an established organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join their accounting and finance team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and operational accounting who also enjoys process improvement, systems, and analytics. The Senior Accountant will work closely with accounting leadership and partner with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, analyze business results, and improve accounting processes. This is a broad role offering exposure to accounting, operations, reporting, systems initiatives, and special projects. Key Responsibilities Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Analyze financial results, account activity, and operational variances. Partner with operations to ensure costs and financial activity are accurately captured. Assist with annual and interim audit requests and supporting documentation. Develop and improve financial reporting, metrics, and management reporting. Support fixed asset accounting and related system initiatives. Participate in ERP, reporting, BI, and finance systems projects. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve close timelines. Work cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and other areas of the business. Assist with special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience supporting month-end close and audit activities. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand the business behind the numbers. Experience working with a major ERP system. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to work effectively with both accounting and operational teams. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or another process-driven environment. Experience partnering directly with operations and/or sales. Exposure to BI, financial reporting, or data analytics tools. Experience with ERP implementations, system enhancements, or accounting automation. Fixed asset accounting experience.
