Role Description The Teacher of Italian is a full-time, on-site role located in Clifton, NJ. This role is responsible for planning and delivering Italian language lessons aligned with district curriculum and state standards. Daily tasks include preparing instructional materials, teaching Italian language and culture to students, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The Teacher of Italian will maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment, collaborate with colleagues and families, and participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities as needed. The role also involves using varied instructional strategies and educational technology to support diverse learners. Qualifications Ability to design and implement effective Lesson Planning that aligns with curriculum goals and student learning needs. Strong foundation in Education, including knowledge of instructional methods, classroom management, and student assessment. Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, families, colleagues, and administrators. Demonstrated Teaching skills in Italian language, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse learners. Experience in Training or mentoring students in language acquisition and cultural understanding. Bachelor’s degree in Italian, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Valid New Jersey teaching certification in World Languages–Italian or eligibility to obtain appropriate certification. Proficiency in Italian and strong command of English, both spoken and written. Commitment to creating an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom and supporting district initiatives. Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to enhance language instruction.
