We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Technician, Electrical located in Summary The Maintenance Technician, Electrical reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical and leads the safe, efficient and effective execution of all mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance work at Venture Global facility. The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for working with other Technicians, and Supervisors within the Operations & Maintenance departments. General Description Duties & Responsibilities Executes preventive and corrective maintenance electrical work according to LNG HSSE process, procedures, standards and regulations. Adherence to VGIMS (Venture Global Integrity Management System), LNG Maintenance Manual and Work Management process and procedures. Identify potential safety, health, environmental work hazards. Understand maintenance work scope and applicable Operation and Maintenance processes and procedures. Performs problem solving activities in order to ensure maintenance and reliability issues corrective measures are implemented. Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Electrical systems. Prepare and create required Job Safety Hazard Analysis and Work permits under his/her area of responsibility (ePTW as applicable). Works with maintenance and engineering counterparts to ensure the safe completion of scheduled maintenance work. Responsible for daily work progress reports and updates, adhering to maintenance work execution processes and procedures, among other activities. Manage personal timecard according to LNG Policies and Procedures (Vacations, time-off, Sick leave, training, “On-Call” etc.) Supervises contractor work execution, safe work completion, and performance according to LNG Contractor Management procedure. Reports contractor work quality/non-compliances issues to direct Supervisor and Planning/Contract teams. Provide mentoring and coaching to others and holds personal accountability for performance and behavior. Identify and request required special and routine tools/equipment/PPE for the safe execution of maintenance activities under his/her area of responsibility. Participate in LNG Ready for Operations (RFO) maintenance projects in order to develop required maintenance systems, process and procedures before commercial operations. Supports Electrical equipment factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT, as required. Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and operation of the LNG Facility. This will include being a vital member of the integrated commissioning / start-up team(s) with the EPC contractor. Participate in various reviews during the Engineering and Design Phases, such as HAZOPs, 3D model and P&ID reviews. Qualifications Required Experience Minimum Five (5) years of maintenance electrical technician work experience in Oil & Gas, LNG or petrochemical facilities. Strong knowledge of electrical industrial standards and regulations (i.e. NETA, NFPA 70E / 70B, NEC). Knowledge of Power Generation (Steam Turbine, HRSG, and Diesel Generator)and Distribution. Use of Basic Electrical Testing equipment (i.e. Multimeter, Insulation Resistance tester, Micro-ohmmeter, Ground Resistance tester, Power Quality Analyzer, Battery tester, etc…) Applied knowledge of electrical and controls such as medium and low-voltage generators, motors, switchgear, motor control centers, Variable Speed Drives (VFD and VSDS), circuit breakers, protective and network relaying, fuses, cabling, power, current instrument and transformers, Lighting, HVAC, AC Inverters and DC Chargers, batteries Control Systems etc. Support of small/medium scale electrical projects. Applied knowledge of electrical and controls such as, but not limited to: Medium and Low-voltage generators, LV/MV Switchgear and motor control centers (MCC) HV Switching (including Open Air and Gas Insulated) LV/MV Switching of Power Distribution and Equipment isolation LV/MV Motor Testing and repairs Liquid filled Power Distribution Transformers LV Motor Controls Schemes/Logic (Contactor, Starter, VFD, Soft Start, Relay) MV Motor Control Schemes/Logic (Contactor, Starter, VFD, Soft Start) Equipment Relay Protection (Bus Diff, Transformer, Motor, Generator, etc…) Network relaying Wiring and Cabling terminations (Power and Controls) Electrical Component Testing AC/DC (CT’s/PT’s, Relays, Fuses, Transformers, Invertors, Rectifiers, Breakers, Timers, etc…) High/Low Resistance Grounding applications Corrosion Cathodic Protection applications Motor Operated Valves (MOV) Lighting (Emergency, Street, Area) Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC) Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays and respond to call outs and emergencies Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules Must be able to respond to an emergency at the station within 60 minutes Preferred Experience Familiar with CMMS systems work management process (Work order process). SAP experience is preferred. Required Education Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Technical degree in Electrical, or applicable nationally recognized standard Certification. Able to work over water and operate watercraft. Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency with computer software applications that interface with Electrical Equipment Computer with Electrical Equipment Software applications Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
